Building Momentum For Effective Partnership
Globally Networked Customs and the Private Sector
6-7 October 2010
World Customs Forum (WCF), will be hosted by The Turkish Customs Administration in cooperation with the World Customs Organization and the Trusted Trade Alliance in Istanbul on 6 and 7 October 2010.
This high-level Conference, to which our Prime Minister Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN has been invited to make an opening speech, and to which Mr. Kunio MIKURIYA, the Secretary General of WCO, shall be honoring by his participation; will be co-hosted by the Turkish Customs; and will be open to the public. It is expected that approximately 400 participants from the private sector, Customs and other agencies will attend this international event.
The theme for this year's Forum is "Building Momentum for Effective Partnership", with a subtext of the relationship between the idea of globally networked Customs and the role of the private sector. This two-day Forum will focus on the essential building blocks for public/private sector collaboration in modernization of the international supply chain.
