In order to establish a WAN in 86 customs offices computerized under Customs Modernization Project:

• The client/server-based LANs are connected to one another
• SUN Server is operated under SOLARIS Operating System,
• All applications, including BİLGE software will be linked to ORACLE RDBMS,
• More than 99.5 % of export, import and transit transactions are being carried out on-line and on a real-time basis,
• An international operation is being carried out with the external systems by means of EDI ,
• TURPAK, Frame-Relay, Leased-Line and Dial-Up connections are used in Customs WAN.
